The trek takes you through dense pine forests, frozen lakes, snow-covered meadows, and charming Himalayan villages. The summit climb rewards trekkers with breathtaking 360-degree views of major Himalayan peaks including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, and Ranglana. DAY 1 - DEHRADUN / SANKRI

Begin your journey from Dehradun and drive to Sankri village, the base camp for Kedarkantha Trek. The scenic drive takes approximately 8-10 hours, passing through Mussoorie, Kempty Falls, and picturesque mountain roads. Travel along the Tons River, witness beautiful valleys, and reach Sankri by evening. Sankri is a charming village at 6,400 feet altitude. Check into your accommodation, meet your trek leader and fellow trekkers. Attend a briefing session about the trek. Enjoy a warm dinner and overnight stay in Sankri. Acclimatize and prepare for the exciting trek ahead.

DAY 2 - SANKRI - JUDA

After breakfast, begin your trek from Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (9,100 feet). The trek is approximately 4 km and takes 4-5 hours. Walk through dense pine and maple forests, cross wooden bridges over mountain streams, and gradually ascend through beautiful trails. The path is well-defined and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Reach Juda Ka Talab, a beautiful frozen lake (in winter) surrounded by pine trees. Set up camps near the lake. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and magnificent views. Evening tea and snacks followed by dinner. Overnight camping at Juda Ka Talab under the starlit sky.

DAY 3 - JUDA - KEDARKANTHA BASE / SHEPHERD HUTS

Wake up to a beautiful sunrise and enjoy hot breakfast. Trek from Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (11,250 feet). The trek is approximately 4 km and takes 3-4 hours. Walk through snow-covered meadows and dense forests. The trail gradually opens up to reveal stunning panoramic views of snow-capped peaks including Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. Reach the Kedarkantha Base Camp or Shepherd Huts. Set up camps with magnificent 360-degree mountain views. Explore the area, take photographs, and prepare for the summit climb next day. Attend a briefing session about the summit climb. Early dinner and rest well for the summit day. Overnight camping at base camp.

DAY 4 - KEDARKANTHA BASE - KEDARKANTHA SUMMIT AND DESCEND - JUDA

Summit Day! Wake up early around 3:00 AM. Have light breakfast and start the summit climb around 4:00 AM with headlamps. Trek to Kedarkantha Summit (12,500 feet). The climb is approximately 6 km round trip and takes 6-7 hours. The trail is steep but well-marked. Reach the summit by sunrise and witness the magical golden hour over the Himalayas. Enjoy breathtaking 360-degree views of major peaks - Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Gangotri ranges, Yamunotri peaks, and countless other snow-covered mountains. Spend time at the summit, take photographs, and celebrate your achievement. Descend back to base camp, have lunch, pack up, and continue descending to Juda Ka Talab. Overnight camping at Juda.

DAY 5 - JUDA KA TALAB - SANKRI TO DEHRADUN TO DELHI

After breakfast, trek down from Juda Ka Talab to Sankri village. The descent takes approximately 3-4 hours. Reach Sankri, freshen up, and have lunch. Board the vehicle and begin your journey back to Dehradun. The drive takes 8-10 hours through scenic mountain roads. Reach Dehradun by evening. From Dehradun, you can take a bus or train to Delhi. Arrive in Delhi with wonderful memories of the Kedarkantha Trek - the stunning summit views, beautiful campsites, snow-covered trails, and the sense of achievement. Trip ends with unforgettable Himalayan experiences and new friendships formed during the trek.
