About Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila
The Chopta-Chandrashila Trek is one of the most scenic and rewarding Himalayan treks in Uttarakhand, perfect for beginners as well as experienced trekkers. Starting from Chopta, often called the "Mini Switzerland of India," the trail takes you through dense forests of rhododendron and oak, leading to the ancient Tungnath Temple – the highest Shiva temple in the world at 12,073 feet.
From Tungnath, the trek continues to the Chandrashila Summit, perched at an altitude of around 4,000 meters (13,188 ft). The summit offers breathtaking 360-degree views of some of the tallest Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedar Peak. DAY 0: DEPARTURE FROM DELHI

DAY 2: TUNGNATH - CHANDRASHILA TREK - RETURN TO DELHI
Start early morning trek from Chopta to Tungnath Temple (3.5 km), the highest Shiva temple in the world at 12,073 feet. Walk through enchanting rhododendron forests and meadows. After seeking blessings at Tungnath, continue the steep 1.5 km trek to Chandrashila Summit at 13,188 feet.
